This is a beautiful Aurora fountain pen with a Broad 18K Gold nib. I purchased it from an auction site and the mechanism inside was not particularly healthy so I sent it off to Aurora to be serviced. Many months later it returned, looking brand new and it has not touched ink since. It's a limited edition, and this is number 0937 of 1919. This is the version where the barrel is burgundy and the cap is gold plated, the cap is beautifully engraved with Leonardo's writing, filled in with the same burgundy as the barrel. It fills with a lever. One removes a bliindcap at the bottom to reveal a lever. When the lever is pushed side to side, the ink fills the internal bladder. Current prices range from $1895 to $2495. There are more expensive versions, some that are solid gold with rubies. It comes with both the inner and outer box and a brochure. It also has a very nice glass and vermeil paperweight. The panels on the inner box are covered with silk and in good shape, but come loose in the hand. A little white glue would re-adhere them.
